Big Guys Sniffle

Was in church today for confirmation Sunday.  8th Graders who have committed their lives to Christ, and who made it public.  We prayed over each one of them, individually.  I was sitting among a bunch of guys in the congregation, and as we prayed for each one of these precious young people, I was getting a little misty-eyed.  To my relief - I wasn't the only one.  Several of the other guys around me were wiping their eyes by the end of the prayers.

 

God - Thank you for these young people who have become believers and followers of Jesus Christ.  I pray that you will help us do what you need done to support each one of them during the difficult transition they all face to adulthood.  Help them avoid the pitfalls and distractions that may pull them off the road you have layed out for them.  In Jesus' name - AMEN.
