Drove to St. Louis today. About 7.5 hours, and got an appreciation for how big America is again. I was in N. Ireland, and Scotland this summer, and the contrast is amazing. None of my friends there really understand how big this country is, because they have nothing to compare it to. Our roads are incredibly nice too compared to the UK. Wider, straighter, safer - you name it.

I'll be heading back the day after tomorrow, and I'm taking a different route to see the sights in another part of the midwest.

Have a gig Friday with Amy, and I'm really looking forward to it. We're doing a cabaret kind of set at the coffeehouse, and it should be really fun. What a blessing music is!

Say cool...

Friday - good thing.

My boss Dan's last day - very bad thing....

We are all saddened by Dan's retirement. Absolutely the best boss I ever had in my 28 years of working. Dan was in our office for 16 years, and was always supportive of us, and our customers. Always positive about the future, and working to maximize our incomes and the company's profit. Always willing to listen. Shielded his people from the extra paperwork coming down from above. And a honest friend with no hidden agenda.

So I hoist a glass to you Dan, and pray that you have a fantastic journey from here on out.

I am going to miss you Dan!

Had my performance review today at work. Guess what? I meet expectations! And another work year begins... I'm feeling blessed to have a job in this economy. Plants closing all around in our little town.
Went hunting last weekend, and had a total worship experience walking in the woods in God's beauty. Unfathomable beauty, incredible complexity of life surrounded by a cover of simplicity and purpose. Thank You father!
The CD is done!!! Amy did an incredible job. My first producing experience with her was really rewarding. It should be ready for sale before Christmas.

My hands tire. I'll write again soon. Meanwhile - please stop and look around you at God's creation.
